If you can perceive any light in the RE you are not totally blind.I would suggest you see an Eye MD to see if anything can be done to lhelpf the RE and to be sure the LE is healthy. You need to do everythikng you can to protect the LE from disease and injury and see an Eye MD yearly.

Thank you so much
Mr.John C Hagan III :) . I will do what you said but is it possible to be blind for that long and obtain my RE vision back?
Only a real life examination of the RE by an Eye MD ophthalmologist can answer that question. You should be under the care of an Eye MD ophthalmologist. You should direct question to him/her. Likely if you could be helped you would have been referred for treatment long ago.

You are correct doctor, Most of the doctors I went to said that I cant be helped. Actually I had a surgery in my RE for cataract but the doctors said that they couldn't remove the whole cataract as it is intact itseems. I have a portion of cataract still in my RE. And I asked to it to be removed to a different doctor but he said that it is unnecessary. Thank you for your reply doctor :). Thank you so much ....
You are welcome as I said do everything to protect the good eye from disease, injury, unhealthy lifestyle and see ophthalmologist at least yearly.

I lost my left eye and use glasses for my right eye,to see things clearly(Far sightedness). Now I think of get rid of my glasses and want to undergo a surgery to have proper vision in my left eye ,something LASIK or other. Is it good for me to undergo a surgery to improve my vision or I'm stuck with the glasses :( . Please help .
In most instances it is best to continue to wear glasses. The reasons: 1. refractive surgery such as LASIK involves some risk including loss of vision. With only one eye not worth the risk 2. The glasses serve a protective function and help prevent things from sticking or scratching your eye. 3. Even if you had LASIK and had a good result you would only be able to go without glasses till age 40-42 then you would need reading glasses and as you got older no line bifocals.

Thank you Doctor for the useful advice :) .Is it good for me to go for contact lenses or GP lenses?
Soft lens are best for almost everyone except high astigmatism and irregular astigmatism.

Thank you so much doctor :)
Hi,
There is a little girl who is 2 years old has cross eyes from birth. The girl is a daughter of my neighbour. The parent consulted a doctor and the doctor said that it will get cured by itself when she grows up. My question is, is it true that cross eyes will get cured by itself or the girl still need to be consulted still?
If the eyes are truly crossed that is bad advice. I suggest strongly the child see a pediatric ophthalmologist. Treatment for the problem called congenital esotrophia usually requires surgery. The child will still need to be examined about twice/year to see if glasses or patching therapy is needed.
Again bad advice seek another opinion
