Eye Problems for going into Aviation

Recently I underwent an eye test from a well-known opthalmologist here in India. The doctor advised me that i have a serious eye problem which is not acceptable for going into aviation.
The report says my vision is 6/6 in both eyes. In the Cover Test, a 15 degress of Hyperphoria has been detected, which is Deviated Vertical Deviatiom.
In the Maddox Rod Test, a >24 psd Esophoria has been detected.
Due to the above tests, the Doctor said that it is incorrectable and hence I will not be able to get into Aviaton.
I wanted to know whether this condition can be corrected and be brought under acceptable limits.

Thanks,
Jayson.

Sorry for the scary advice you got from that doctor, but it looks like you are on you way now. Find a good doctor and hang in there with the treatment.

Thank you very much for such a prompt reply. You doctors are doing a really great peice of work!

The doctor whom i consulted said it was unlikely. Anyways i'll search for a Strabismus eye opthalmologist for the same.

Thanks a ton again!

It is likely that you WILL qualify for a pilot's license. You need to see a strabismus eye MD ophthalmologist.

You should check with whatever type of aviation you want to see what their qualifications are: example private pilot's license, commercial aviaition, militrary aviation.

Your problems involve your eye muscles.  See an ophthalmologist who specializes in strabismus, who can determine possible treatment options for you.
