Eye problem after anesthesia

I just had a prostata (TURP) surgery under full anesthesia. Since then I have flies-like shadows in one eye. Could that be a consequence of anesthesia or surgery?
Thanks hugo.

No anesthesia should not cause that problem after prostate surgery. However I would suggest you go see an Eye MD ophthalmologist to see what's going on. Use the search feature and seach "floaters" and "PVDs"

Our eyes steadily loose focus power that occurs rapidly in our 40's and early 50's.   The surgery will not make your eyes weak but often since you are weak they are less able to focus and its a good time to step up your glasses power. See an ophthalmologist.

You should be seeing an Eye MD ophthalmologist. There are certain tests that must be done:  1. Amsler Grid test  2. Peripheral vision test (Visual field exam)  3. macular OCT.    So unless you have seen Eye MDs and had those tests you have not been fully evaluated.

hey thank you for responding but yeah, ive done all those tests i guarantee, and they said i was fine.  any ideas what it could be? BTW what can i do to cure the paleness...and tiredness thank you so much for taking the time to respond, hopefully i get another respond.
The first thing to rule out when 'looking pale" is to be sure you are not anemic.  Simple test called CBC.   "Tired"  OMG who isn't tired.  There are far too many things to make any suggestions on that. I'm tired and going to bed soon.  You need to start working through the causes with a family MD or internal medicine MD
thank you!

You should go for the Best Eye Doctor in Miami, if possible.  If we talk about general anaesthetic. So, Pressure on nerves in the eyebrow area may cause a droopy eyelid.  This is one of the reasons that your eyes are taped shut during procedures performed under anesthesia.

Close but no cigar.  The eyelids are taped to prevent them from opening and the cornea drying and getting "exposure" keratitis. The eyepads do not reach to the eyebrow area and do not provide significant 'cushioning"
