Eyes

The white part of my eyes is baby blue. I used visine once a day for a while and now I use artificial tears cause my eyes are so dry due to medication. What is causing the white to be blue?

Visine is a horrible medication, please stop using it.  Since you have an upcoming visit with your eye doctor, ask him about the color of your sclera.  Also ask him about more appropriate dry eye management.  You can learn about dry eyes at www.dryeyezone.com.

Good for the doc.  If you've looked up blue sclera, you know there can be a connection with certain kinds of joint or connective tissue conditions, as well as with some anemias.

My arthritis Dr. noticed it just recently. I had my last eye exam a little over a year ago. Going to schedule and appointment for sept,

Have the whites of your eyes always been blue or is this recent?

Has an eye doctor or any other doctor ever commented on your blue 'whites'?
