Feel like eye in a vice after cataract surgery?

I am 3 days post cataract surgery.  My eye has been very itchy and today it feels as if it'ss being held by a vice.  It's a very strange feeling and depressing. I'm 45 and other than being extremely nearsighted and healthy.  I have had dry eye in that eye for the past couple years and am wondering if what i'm experiencing is extreme dry eye or something else.  Has anyone else experienced the feeling as if something was wrapped around your eye being associated with dryness?  I don't know how else to explain it.  Thanks in advance

You should be explaining that to your surgeon.  If in pain call now, if not call early Monday morning for advice.

Thank you.  I wouldn't describe it as pain exactly, but very uncomfortable and constant.
Again needs to reported to surgeon, if nothing else for some reassurance.
For a few days after my cataract surgery in February, I had what I would describe as pressure around the eye socket but then it abated.  Not sure if that is what you may be describing.  Had it continued, I would have brought it up with my surgeon.
