Eat dark green leafy veggies (especially kale, spinach). Antioxidants, especially those found in green tea (proved to reach the retina). Lutein is also good supplement for eyes. Blueberries. Beta carotene and vitamin A. Cod liver oil (omega 3). Stay away from processed foods. Eat organic when possible.
My retinologist recommended saffron, taken as a supplement. The recommendation was for macular degeneration.
