Heartbeat in eye after scleral buckle

K. I have a weird one. The last few weeks I’ve noticed (mostly when my heart rate is up) that my eye throbs to my heartbeat. Doesn’t seem to cause any issues..no associated pain...just very strange. I have two raised areas on my lips that have done this since I was little..has always just been normal for me…anybody else notice something similar in their eye after a scleral buckle?

Perceiving the heart beat by some pulsation of vision is not unusual at all and not necessarily related to scleral buckle surgery. It often occurs in people with very slow pulses or wide "pulse pressure"  I would mention it to your ophthalmologist.

Interesting! I do have a lower than average resting heart rate…but the pulse in the eye only happened since scleral buckle. I’ll let him know. Thanks!
I occasionally have this in my own eye and I've not had eye surgery. I also have a slow pulse (runner)
