How Poor of Vision is This?
I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old, I just turned 28. I went in yesterday to have my eyes checked after not having it done for a few years. I know that my vision is very poor, I was just wondering how poor it was. I know that I am very near sighted.
Right eye: Sphere -8.00, Cylinder -1.00, Axis 5
Left eye: Sphere -8.00, Cylinder -1.00, Axis 180

What's your definition of poor vision? You're myopic.
If you're looking for a 20/? then you're going to have to talk w/ your doctor, because it's impossible to get that information from your Rx. Most people though are able to see 20/20 or better with corrective lenses.
If you can drive without restrictions (other than having to wear corrective lenses) than your vision is perfectly fine.
