strabismus

Hello,

I've had strabismus for all of my life, now I'm 21, I had 2 surgeries. Now it's okay for me the most of the time although left eye is still squints very very little, so it's hard to notice if you don't know.  But still I'm having a problem with my right eye, I can spend all night studying using computer and I can still focus it, bet when I go out dancing, meeting people, it starts to squint already around 22pm, and I actually don't understand why, I guess computer must be more tiring than dancing.... Maybe there are some exercises or other solution for this problem..?

Thanks in advance

You may need to wear reading glasses over the contacts, especially if you are in your late 30's or early 40's.

Only an examination can answer your questions so line up an apt when you get home.

Thanks for the answer. I'm abroad now, so it's hard to find a doctor, but I've one in my hometown, she told me that there is not a real point of having a surgery, but as I understand she meant it for the left eye, which is squinting a little all the time, but I really don't understand what could I do so that my right eye wouldn't squint in the evening when I'm going out... It usually doesn't happen when I'm at home... I thought maybe it's because of lights/dry air... I'm already wearing contact lenses (+3.0 and +0,5(left eye)) all the time except when I'm sleeping.

Eye exercises are not very effective for this problem. You should see an Eye MD ophthalmologist that specializes in squint (strabismus). many people with your history are farsighted and need glasses all the time, in some instance even in young people bifocals are needed.
