Infant less dilated eye

Doctor,
My 8 month-old son was born w/ a left brachial plexus injury. I've also noticed that his left eye seems to dilate differently than his right eye, esp. in medium level light. In medium level light, the left pupil is usually larger than the right. In bright light both pupils constrict the same.

Is this an injury associated with his difficult birth?
Can a physician's care help this?
Is it a third nerve palsy or something else?
Will this heal itself--it's seems to have become somewhat less evident as he's grown?

Thank you in advance!

Pupil problems or any eye problems from a brachial plexus injury would be ultra rare. I would suggest you discuss your concerns with your pediatrician and consider a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist just to put your mind at ease.
