Intraocular Ophtalmic Pressure

Three months ago my eyes doctor talk me my IOP is 21 and that mean I don't have glaucoma. But I need to know if 21 IOP mean I am in the border line. Also if this range can stop or continuing rising. And  in what range the person has to wait to receive treatment for this. Thanks.

During the course of each day your IOP is constantly changing. For the average person the range between high and low is about 6-8 mm Hg  and the peak is 21 or less. Whether you should worry about your reading depends a great deal on your age, family history, corneal thickness, cup/disc ratio among the most important. Be sure you are under the care of an Eye MD ophthalmologist. If not find one near you at www.aao.org
