Intraretinal Hemorrhage

I'm sorry if I have been asking too many questions but I have a question about an Intraretinal Hemorrhage. I have been having problems with my left eye since the last week of January. I seem to have a wavy/blind spot in my eye that makes things look distorted and sometimes difficulty reading. I had my first ophthalmologist/retinal specialist appointment on Tuesday and she diagnosed a IRH superotemporal to my fovea with mild retinal whitening. Would this diagnosis be causing my symptoms? Also, how long does an IRH last? Shouldn't it be getting better by now?
