Lasik afte Cryotherapy & Eye/Sinuses

I have had cryotherapy in the past (as a teen about 20 years ago) to treat retinal tears - what are the long term affects? I have my vision checked every 1-2 years and everything checks out. My vision is pretty stable. Would I be a candidate for Lasik even though I have had cryotherapy?

Also...How badly can sinus pressure affect the eye? Can they permanently affect the eye? How long does it take for this sort of thing to clear up?

Over the last month, I have been having sinus and allergy issues - nothing really new for this time of the year. The older I get, sinus pressure is pretty constant for me. However, this year my eyes have been extremely affected, in particular my right eye - achy, red, crusty some mornings -  this year the pain started a little different - the corner of my eye (the skin) and directly under it were very sore, but there was no initial irritation and my vision was fine. The pressure just sits between/around my eye and nose. This has been occuring on and off for about a month (I just realized that and am making an appointment with my eye doctor, but it will take several weeks to see him). What should I be looking for as possible warning signs or dangers? What can I do to help the pressure and irritation?

1. Long term effects 20 years out: none
2. Yes most surgeons would do lasik.
3. Sinus pressure discomfort often occurs around and behind the eyes. it will not have an effect on the eye.
4. The only thing that would be a threat to the eye is if the sinus infection spread to the tissues behind the eye (orbital cellulitis) and that is rare and the person is very ill, high temperature and the eye swells totally shut and sticks out of the socket
