Looking for a good Retina Specialist at Wills Eye

I recently found out that my daughter's retina specialist past away unexpectedly.  She has been seen by this specialist since she was 3, now I’m tasked with locating a new specialist within the practice he was at or finding a totally new specialist.  Does anyone know of the best retina specialist at Wills Eye? (preferably in South Jersey Area)....My daughter has a detached retina and has been detached for about 1 yrs she has had 4 surgeries and nothing has worked to keep the retina attached so we are leaving detached and will go from there.  Note:  There has never been sight out of the right eye at all even with the retina attached.  She says she does see some light, but no vision.

I second the vote for Dr. Steve Charles in Memphis.  He also might be able to recommend someone local for you.  You can contact him through his website.  (Google to find it.)

It's been my experience that ophthalmology has become highly specialized.  A retinal surgeon with proficiency in one sub-specialty (e.g., cancer surgery) might not be your best choice for a problem involving another sub-specialty within the retinal area.  If my above suggestion doesn't work, I'd suggest calling Wills and speaking to an administrator in the retinal area.  Explain your situation, and ask for recommendations among their senior staff.
