Looking for physicians that treat Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid

A friend of mine was diagnosed with Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid several years ago.  She would like to get a second opinion.  She lives outside of Atlanta, GA. She is willing to travel somewhere else for this second opinion. Will you please provide me with names of physicians that specialize in the treatment of this disease.

Thanks!

I don't know who individually.  Best centers for eye care would be in Miami, Baltimore, Philadelphia, or Boston.  Go to Pubmed.com and search for the disease to see which doctors have written the most articles about this disease and that should give you a hint to who the experts on the disease may be in the US.

Yes, she has been seen at Emory. That is where she has been receiving her treatment.  She was really looking to find additional expertise for a second opinion. She is willing to travel to the best in this field.  Do you know who the top physicians are in managing this disease?

Thanks!

Has she tried going to the ophthalmology department at Emory University?  They have one of the top programs in the country.  She would have to see either an Oculoplastic specialist or a corneal specialist at the institute depending on which specialty deals with OCP (different depending on the training background).
