Migrane aura /TIA

Hi Doctor,

I had recently visual aura with no head ache...As I already had retinal detachment on one eye ...I rushed to emergency and doctors confirmed thats not related to retina.....I had carotid doppler which returned normal...I then reffered to neurologist
1)MRI brain normal
2)Cholestrol --border line
3)Homocysteine ---very elevated --88.5

Do I need to worry about elevated homocystene levels.

They diagnoised migrane aura with no head ache ..but i never had head ache in my life
And I was taking medication to lower my elevated homocystene

None of the eyedoctors/neuro unable to diganose what caused this visual aura and started treating for migrane  and homocystene as risk factor

1)Do I need to worry about elevated homocystene levels.
2)What is the cause for visua aura

You can have a visual aura without headaches.  Consult your internist about the homocysteine level.
