Morning discharge after eyelids wash.and question ...

I have multifocal  Acrysoft IQ Restor Toric IOL OL 20.0 D. Od 19.5 D. Done  Sept 15  and Oct 17 '13.followed by  YAG
# 1-Since surgery I have to use Natural Tears few times mostly in evening, in the morning I have dry stuff on the eyelashes, after cleaning my eyes with bb shampoo I apply the drops and right after I have gooey  whitish stuff on the eyelashes, have to do it that way, I just wipe that with a tissue and I am okay for the rest of the day no dryness and redness..

Question # 1: What is that ? is it normal ? Should I do something else  ?

# 2- I am getting used to the IOL's except that I still have starbursts  from headlights day and night.  It seems that it is the price to pay to be glasses free. I really love the fact that I don't have to wear glasses, they gave me so many problems that my optometrist was pulling his hair. I had  marks, even wounds on the nose bridge ( I have  mild rosacea) , I saw more than one optometrist and  oculist to try different glasses to no avail so the price of a pretty face without a nose bridge red or worst  is to stay away to night driving. It doesn't bother me much because I rarely drove at night. During the day I found a way to forget about the rings around the headlights. I hate the blue bright headlights on new cars or replacement lights I hated them before cataract surgery but worst now.

Question # 2 : Is there something on the market in the glasses dept. that could help me with that annoying           problem ?. Is it possible that one day I don't see them anymore .

okay good luck. Since the glasses are custom ground for your eye and are expensive to make doubt you will find anyone that will do a "trial "

Thank you for your reply. I have a mild case of rosacea without  acne, just redness and face, flushing and heavy perspiration followed by  rashes ,on the nose bridge  when wearing glasses ,  that caused problems, the dermatologist advised to stay away from glasses as much as possible, skin cream,  betaderm was used with success but have to not wear glasses. He suggest to wear a patch under the glasses bridge ( very chic !) That is why I am happy to not have to wear glasses anymore  and I will do with starbursts . I still have to be careful with sun glasses but I don't have to wear them all day long because I stay out of the sun as much as possible. The sun is a trigger to my face flushing as exercises and strenuous work even thinking would do it in summer . Summer being almost here I started to sweat ( glow I am a lady ...)
Thank you for the advise about the glasses to correct  high-order aberrations I had ask about this to my optometrist, he did not seem convinced then . If I could try them without dishing to much $$ I would like to try them.
I mentioned this problem with that type of rosacea so someone else see that it does exist and that they are not crazy.

1. This does not suggest any problem related to surgery but dry eyes/blepharitis. Use the search feature and archives to read about treatment of those two problems.

2. Its possible the annoying light reflexes (dysphotopsia) may go away or could be permanent.  Your problem is your skin.  See a dermatologist and get your acne rosacea cleared up, you should then be able to tolerate light weight glasses. If so an over-refraction and "wave frong glasses e.g. Zeiss iScript) might be helpful to you.
