Mrsa in eye after exposure??

I work in healthcare and was emptying a patient's foley who was on contact for Mrsa in the urine and blood, vre and c-diff. While emptying her foley I felt something wet go in my eye not alot but right above and fall down. I quickly finished and then rinised my eye. While getting ready to leave the coworker then shooked the patients blanket in my face!
I advised my supervisor and saw an urgent care Dr. She didn't do any tests or anything just say infection or mrsa is hughly unlikely and saw me back in a week and released me.
My eye is kinda itching now (its been a month)..was this Dr right? I'm so scared. I'm distancing myself from my family because I don't want them to get anything. Any advice?

Incubation period 1-10 days. Yes some people are carriers but they themselves are asymptomatic.

I have given you all the reassurance I can. Please address your concerns at this point to your personal physician.

Will the symptoms be noticeable?

I'm afraid I'm colonized because of that exposure or being around it so much. I don't want to affect others.

Thanks Dr but is there a incubation period? can't infection show up years later (some people can become a carrier of the infection, meaning the bacteria lives on the skin but does not cause any problems unless they become ill/immunocompromised).?

Thanks, I have three pimples on my chin and kinda worried about it being MRSA as well.. One was filled with pus and popped itself. So culturing that is out the picture. This has been going on for four days. Thanks again

Any infection should have occurred within 2-3 days not a month

If this was a month ago that contact did not and will not cause problems 30 days later. Yes she was right that contact unlikely to cause MRSA eye infection  JCH MD
