NARROW ANGLE GLAUCOMA

I had laser surgery for narrow angle glaucoma a few years ago.  I am wondering if it is okay for me to take a mild sleeping aid, and pain medications.

Any medication that says do not take if you have glaucoma is referring to angle closure glaucoma. The other types of open angle glaucoma are not a problem. If a person is known to have occludable angles a laser iridotomy is done then its okay to take, if a person has an attack of angle closure and has LPI then okay to take.

So after making laser opening there is generally no eye reason not to take these meds. You would need to confir with your personal MD about other possible problems with those medications.

Thank you so much.  I have not had a nights sleep in months.  To the point of forgetting what I am thinking about.  I will certainly talk to my doctor and get help.
