PLEASE HELP! I CAN

I was misdiagnosed as having pressure in my eyes and was given Latanoprost eye drops which I used for 5 days and my intuition told me to stop  it and get a second and third opinion which I did. I then found out I did not need to be on Latanoprost and my eye pressure was normal. I am only 45 and never had a problem with dark circles under my eyes which developed two days after I started using the eye drops. They're very bad, to the point that I am staying home and avoiding being seen in public without sun glasses. It's been weeks and they're just as bad. I need to know if they'll ever go away. I hope and pray that they do. Thank you so much for your attention and forthcoming reply.

Indeed best of luck. I think you'll do fine. Continue to monitor your IOP and tell all further ophthalmologists about your problem. If you ever need the IOP treated (glaucoma) you might opt for selective laser trabeculoplasty

Thank you so much for your prompt response dear Doctor. I must be that one of a kind case and I feel a bit of relief to know that these awful looking dark circles will eventually disappear. I'll make sure to repost as soon as I see then gone. God blessings...

while all the eye drops in that family (latanoprost, lumigan and travatan-Z can cause dark pigmentation around the eyelids I have never had (of the thousands of patient's I've treated with these medications) or read in the medical journals about the pigment occurring within 5 days. If that is the case one of a kind.

even in those people that are on the drops for years and years that develop the pigment wen they stop the medication the pigmentation generally goes away over months to a year or more.
