I am hoping someone might have an idea of what is wrong with my right eye.
43 years old Male. It all started about 3 years ago when I started seeing a flashing light in the lower right peripheral vision of my right eye. My Retina specialist indicated that the leakage was too close to my central vision to use a laser so I had to get 3 separate shots in my right eye over a period of a year - which seems to have worked for now. At the same time the flashing light symptoms have been happening - I have been getting a progressive and persistent feeling of pressure behind my right eye and it also feels like an associated pressure is located toward the top of my brain - just behind the right eye. There is also a gritty feeling on the top of my right eye and my Retina specialist did not see anything. My Retina specialist and Neurologist still do no have a diagnosis after obtaining MRIs, CTs, MRAs of my brain (which was about 1.5 years ago).
This constant feeling of pressure is starting to affect my ability to carry on a conversation with people because the feeling of pressure is so constant and irritating. It almost feels as if it could be an infection of some type or a possible swollen vein or gland or something else. No problems with redness for either eye. I have a partial loss of peripheral vision in lower right of my right eye.
Can someone please recommend a specialized doctor? Do I need to see a Neuro-Opthamologist?
If so - how can I find a reputable doctor in this field for my local area?
