ReStor lenses - disappointed

I had ReStor IOL lenses implanted in both eyes about 2 years ago.  I was given a lot of promises in a cataract seminar that I would call "marketing".  I was told I would have vision like a 20 year old if I chose the ($2,500 each) ReStor lenses - not true at all!!!  My distance vision is about 20/25 - not too bad, but I would like better for driving.  My computer distance is not good.  For reading, I use drug store reading glasses of +2.75.  I also need very bright light on the subject I am trying to see - much more than normal household lighting.  I have had YAG laser on both eyes.  I have been back to my ophthalmologist  many times and she thinks I should be satisfied.  This is not what I paid $5,000 for!  Is it possible I was not given the correct prescription?

Please get a second opinion.  It is unusual for you to need a +2.75 for reading.  You may be slightly farsighted.  The computer distance it the weak point for this lens.  Also,  low light conditions make it more difficult to read.

Thank you so much for commenting, Dr. Oyakawa.  I did get a second opinion.  I went to another Ophthomologist for an exam.  She agree with the refraction - my vision is not real bad, but certainly not 20/20.  She suggested getting glasses with a small Rx for driving, and continuing to use whatever strength of reading glasses feel right to me.  Again, this is very disappointing with ReStor lenses, but they are permanent, so nothing can be done.
