Welcome to our community. I am not a doctor. I help with the community. I am also an ryr [atient.

(I apologize if these are too many questions at once)
Already been to an eye specialist, twice.
I made a thread two months ago or so, but I thought this was a better way to describe my symptom, that's why I made a new one.
Anyway, the doctor didn't find anything, I actually asked him if it could be retinal detachment but he said he couldn't see any signs of that.
I'm having an EEG appointment the second of July.
If that doesn't lead me anywhere, should I see a new eye doctor for a second opinion?
And about the glasses thing, I took a vision test a while back and they told me that my vision wasn't THAT bad, but if I wanted glasses, I could buy a pair.
Can the lack of glasses really cause problems like this? If so I'll head out and buy a pair ASAP.
And oh, to give you some more information, I'm also having difficulties looking at certain colors, like bright blue, bright orange, bright red, etc, and looking at a blue font on a red background is almost impossible for me.
And at last, I thought macula diseases only occured in older people, I'm only 17 so wouldn't that be kind of weird?
1. If it gets worse then see a neuro-ophthalmologist.
2. Yes, astigmatism could cause that.
3. You should have your color vision tested.
4. Macular problems occur in people of all ages including newborns. you are thinking of age related macular degeneration but there are many other types of mac degen.

Thank you, I really appreciate it!
I will follow up on your advice and see if it gets any better, hopefully it does.
The sad thing is, in our country we have to go through a family doctor first and then he or she will make an appoitment with a specialist, you can't directly call a specialist and make an appoitment, so I usually have to wait 2 months or so if I'm gonna visit a specialist.
Yes it is sad and I find it hard to believe all the politicians that seem to feel that is the sort of system that should be instituted in the USA.
We see patients the same day if they have emergencies. I can have a person see a retina, glaucoma, cornea, oculoplastic, neuro-ophthalmologist within 24-48 hrs and can get a MRI within a 5 days for non emergency and within an hour in an emergency.
All my medical and surgical consultants will see a patient within 24 hrs.
