Reiger's is so rare that I have experience with only a couple of cases so I can't give you any clinical experience. You might read the section of emedicine.com on the matter.

Would we be correct in assuming that most of the bad cases of Reigers result from long periods of misdiagnosis? Most of the cases that Iv'e found online talk about people in their 50s that had lost most of their sight early in life....
With early and ongoing care by a qualified ophthalmologist the chances of having good vision are good.
