Retina Edema

Hello

My 63 years old father have a retina edema diagnosed 2 months ago after a catarat surgery. Since then he has been treated with "acular" and in consultation this week showed no improvement. The ophthalmologist ordered a new treatment for two months with "acular" (four times daily). My question is if there is something that can increase the chances (albeit limited) recovery from edema, such as diet or lifestyle.
Grateful!

There are no natural treatments I am aware of for the treatment of macular edema.  However, poor diabetic control or hypertension can retard its resolution.

Thnks Dr.O.
In the next 2 month´s my father will follow the medical treatment with acular. My question is about a kind of natural co-treatment. There is any food or someting that helps the natural process of edema regression? I don´t know but something like a high vitamin food or tea or drink...or tell me if there is any constraint in lifestyle such as stress, alcohol, tobacco that can delay the recovery.
Grateful

I treat with Durezol or Pred Forte and Xibrom.  If no improvement consider an Avastin injection.
