Risk for Acanthamoeba keratitis?

I know the importance  of wearing  a mask to prevent the spread of covid 19 is very important, but about 2 days ago I got a corneal  abrasion from accidentally poking my left eye from my mask when i was trying to remove it.Im still in pain right now, but I'm worried I can't shower yet or wash my face because I still have a scratched  eye. The reason  why  I'm here is because  I want to know if its safe to shower when I have a corneal  abrasion, will there be a risk getting Acanthamoeba keratitis?

You should have gone in for an ophthalmologist to look at  your eye and prescribe appropriate medications.  You should direct you question to your ophthalmologist.  As a generalization with a corneal abrasion and in a developed country with clean water, it is generally safe to take a show but hold the eye shut on the injured side.

Thanks Dr Hagan, I have gone to an ophthalmologist, but she didn't  prescribe me any medication, I told her if I can come back in 3 days for another  checkup to make sure my eye is ok, but she said no its fine .
I avoided showering these two days but I don't know how long I have to do that, I'm trying to avoid any risks
after 3 days you should not be in pain, which is more concerning than taking a shower if the water is clean. Suggest you see either the same or another ophthalmologist if it is still painful.
