Scleritis,salivary gland scan results

Nov 2008 I had episcleritis and scleritis.Treated with prednisone pills,drops.Eye pressure high added glacoma drops.Just got results from the salivary gland scan done because of the dry eye and dry mouth..Specialist has diagnosed with Raynauds and Sjogrens Syndrome.How is these 2 auto immune problems be treated?What will happen to me next?Age 52 was healthy until I got red eye last November.

Episcleritis and Scleritis is back.Novemebr it started and finished in November it started.Finally cleared on end of April.
Almost 3 months with clear eyes until Friday July 31 2009.
Episcloritis is back and not sure.
How much Maxidex and Combigan to use this time.
I do feel stress causes my eyes to inflame.Janine

There are a variety of non-steroid immuno-suppresants that they can try. Like steroids they have side effects.

Thank you for your explanation.I have these 3 types of dr advising me.I just got off of Prednisone and do not like what the pills do to your body.Is this the Immunosuppression you are talking about.Just going day by day.7 weeks no red eye.nin77ca

Yes they are related. You need a "team" of physicians: an ophthalmologist ideally a corneal/external disease Eye MD, a rheumatologist   and a GP for your other needs.

There are avarious modalities of treatment the common denominatior is "immuno-suppression"
