Should I Worry?

I am 32 years old.  Last December I had a vision screening and my eyeglass prescription was right eye (-5.25/-0.50/180) and left eye (-4.25/-0.75/180).  Two years prior to that my prescrioption was right eye (-5.00) and left eye (-4.0).  My contact prescription has stayed the same for the last several years (approxiamately ten years) at -4.75 and -4.25 as it did my last exam.  Is this something that should concern me?  My optometrist acted like my vision had stabilized but I  am still worried about acquiring something like pathological myopia.  I guess all this fear is brought on by my recent PVD and retinal tear surgery in my right eye around 1.5 months ago.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Thank you for the quick response doctor.  I guess since all this has happened with my eyes I have became a little paranoid.   I just wonder why he kept my contact prescription the same (OD -4.75 and OS -4.25) so long.  I went to another optometrist today and she gave my eyeglass prescription as OD -5.25/-0.50/180 and OS -4.25/-0.50/180 but said in the contacts she would try OD -5.25 and OS -4.50.  Why so much difference between the two contact prescriptions? Thank you again.

Your changes are insignificant.  Two refraction can easily differ by .25 to .50 diopters
