Should I be worried about my monocular diplopia?

Popped up around January, and it's been the same ever since, i have the issue with both eyes occasionally i'll see triple but only if i squint really hard, i've ruled out the idea of it being cerebal polypia thanks to the pinhole trick. When i saw an eye doctor about it she noticed a slight astigmatism, and she might have said my eyes are a bit dry? However, I doubt it's because of the dry eye, since it's always there, and when i blink it always comes back after less than a second. She said it might be because of my severe anxiety, but i have my doubts about that.

Use the search feature and read past posts about this complaint. There are many, many long discussions. Briefly the problem can be caused by astigmatism and that is probably the most common cause. Other things can include other cornea diseases and tear film problems, cataracts, opacities in the vitreous and macular pathology.  You would need to see an Eye MD opthalmologist have a complete exam including a macular OCT and a corneal topography. If wearing glasses or contact lens eliminate the doubling then you will need to wear glasses or contact lens or live with it.
