Should I wash out eye?

Hi there.

I was out walking a while ago and some kind of liquid hit my forehead and went into my eye. It wasn’t raining and I didn’t see anything of a chemical source that it could have come from so I think it may possibly have been from a pipe up high from a house or something.

My eye didn’t feel irritated or painful but I have anxiety issues regarding my eyes so it did feel uncomfortable. I washed out my eye for about 40 - 60 seconds when I got home in case it was something harmful that got in. Would that length of time to wash it out have been sufficient?
