Smoking after 5 months of scleral buckle surgery

Hi there i had scleral buckle surgery last year in October.  After 5 months by mistake i started to smoke bcos that time i didn't realize and was influenced by friends. But recently i saw that pvr after retinal surgery
develops if u smoke. Hardly i smoked for 15 days. And its been 3 months i left smoking. I am afraid did it affected my eye. Or did pvr developed ?

Do you mean PVD posterior vitreous detachment?  Smoking does not cause retinal detachments or PVDs but it does cause: cataracts, macular degeneration, reduced night vision,  blood clots in the arteries and veins and is one of the worst things you can do to your body and your eyes.

No sir i mean Proliferative vitreoretinopathy
I read somewhere that pvr can cause redetachment i also read smoking increases risk of pvr. So when does pvr develops during healing time or after after eye has healed. I snoked cigrattes after 5 mnths of my surgery for very short time and i left smoking. I m afraid still can i have development of pvr ?
Smoking is horrible for diabetes and a diabetic that smokes regularly for years it taking 5-10 years off their life expectancy. Proliferative diabetic retinopathy  is not a common cause of RD. It mainly causes hemorrhage within the eye.  If it does cause RD it is ually different than the regular RD and is called traction RD. In any case smoking for a short period of time say a month or two will not cause PDR  or PVR.  Generally a person has to have diabetes for at least 5 years before proliferative DR develops.
Sir i don't have diabetes. So i won't be having poliferative diabetic retinopathy.  But what about poliferative viteroretinopsthy?
Also sir this poliferative viteroretinopathy develops during healing time or retina or after that..is 5 months enough for eye to be healed

Your smoking for such a short time will not be a factor.   PVR usually develops in chronic RD or unsuccessful repair of RD.
