My wife 33 years old, she is surfing of stargardt disease, sometime she cannot properly focus things, those are exists on some distant. I want to know that is there any treatment for the stargardt disease
keep your fingers crossed! They are working on stem cell research at the moment. It's going into to phase 2 of the research where they are going to try it out on 12 patients but there is still a lot of clinical testing to be done. So maybe in a few years there will be a cure. I have heard of a Dr. Nolan in Farmington, Ct. He uses drops to help patients with Stargardt's disease. I just recently contacted the office for more info because I myself have it and I've been trying to find out what is out there for treatment. Check out his link http://www.nolaneye.com/ I have also heard of microcurrent stimulation treatment so they are definitely trying to come up with something. I'm 30 years old and was diagnosed when I was 8. It took them two years to figure out what was wrong with me. I know that someday soon they will find a cure and I can't wait. I have much faith in the medical world.
