Sun Gazing

Hi,

I'm doing some research into the subjective effects of sun gazing. So here’s my question: Would you expect, if someone was to engage in sun gazing for an extended period of time to experience changes in their colour vision, e.g. red, purple, or/and green tinged vision. If so what is the mechanism behind this?

I ask this because numerous ‘sun miracles’ (people report seeing the sun turn green, orange or purple) have been reported at pilgrimage sites such as Medjugorje (Bosnia) and Conyers (Georgia), and I suspect the miracles are the result of retinal bleaching during the sun gazing itself.

Additionally do you know of any journal articles relating to this issue.

And finally what's the best time (with the time zone) to post in the 'Ask A Doctor' forums, it always seems to be at its limit when I post.

I would really appreciate a response,
Thanks

i did it last night and at first you see the common yellow glow of the sun but as i got used to it i saw a white ball with magenta and cyan edges.. this morning it was mostly yellow and i say rainbow rings around it.. if youre worried about staring into the sun id suggest standing facing it with your eyes closed and after a while look at it for a couple seconds.. and then close your eyes.. and then look at it indirectly.. like at the ground in front of you off in the distance so youre facing the sun with your eyes open but not exactly looking directly into the sun.. the closer you do it to sun up and sun down is safer.. and dont forget to be barefoot on bare dirt..

Thanks, but I don't want to Sungaze.

I want to know if changes in colour vision can be brought about by sun gazing.

By the way, please watch the HRM solar gazing lecture on YouTube to learn how to safely sungaze. All those who have dameaged their eyes by improperly looking at the Sun, have no fear. Follow the guidelines in HRM's video and it will clear up.

I started Sungazing May 1st, 2009. As of today, I have reached 16 minutes sungazing during safe hour. I don't wear glasses anymore. Threw away my glasses. Sun corrects vision, heals any eye disorder. However so far it has not been known to cure blindness though I know there are other avenues for that coming.

We don't need optical computers. We already have the Brainuter, the most powerful computer in existance on this planet. We just need to learn how to turn it on by connecting it to its natural power source.  Humans have a special ability to charge up their brains to full capacity simply by looking directly into the Sun. The eyes are the windows to the soul. The "junk" DNA will get activated once you charge up. Doctors are trained to find problems and treat symtoms. The Sun cures the cause of all symptoms.
Nothing would be alive without the Sun. Give the Sun a little attention and about a mustard seed's worth of faith and SEE what happens.
God bless their hearts, if you weren't sick they'd have to change professions.

There is a 2 part lecture on YouTube by a teacher named Hira Ratan Manek (HRM), where he explains the science behind this long forgotten, ancient and extraordinary phenomenon.

Solar gazing balances the human mind, body and spirit. Cures all disease, eradicates the need for food thus opening up the possibility for interstellar travel.

Here is a video of another man who hasn't eaten food in 65 years because of solargazing. It shows a team of scientists who kept him under observation. He doesn't even drink water: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewoDVPCLnt0

The next great leap in science will not be as Star Trek put it, "space, the final frontier", but it will be mind.

May we all have open ones,

Hi, Dr. O.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm aware of the dangers of sun gazing, and naturally haven't tried it myself.

I am researching these 'sun miracles' as a matter of personal interest, but I have only found one or two academic papers on the subject, which only mention the said topic in passing.

I have read that red and yellow forms of chromatopsia are common after sun gazing, but what about during the act? Is it likely that a gazer would experience green/purple vision? What are the causes of these changes in colour perception?

Thanks again,

Peter

You can lose you central vision sun gazing.  The first photocoagulation of the retinal use sunlight.
