Flashes after vitrectomy

MY husband has undergone two surgeries for detached retina.first was with scaleral buckle which did not work so second surgery with oil has been performed.he started to see flashes after 10 days of first surgery. Now he is 4weeks after the second surgery and seeing flashes which started from 5 days of surgery.
We are very worried and visiting doc almost 2-3 times in a week.
Is it normal?

Thanks Praveen for the reply.
My husband is 43 years.
When you say take care of eye pressure - do you mean to get it checked frequently?
What is the frequency of your eye flashes?

Thanks.

I have undergone these surgeries in 2010.as you must have read in my posts.I still see flashes but no detachments but you need to be careful.visit your surgeon as advised by him.Take care of your eye pressure.I think i am younger then you.If you are old then you may need more care as eye strcture may be week.one thing more dont rely on everything available on web.We are not doctors only your surgeon can tell you what is best for you. This is what all doctors in this fourm also believe.so relax annd stay cool everything will be fine.

Thanks for the reply.
Could these lead to new detachment?
Are their specific test which can confirm?
Do these traction a also occur in when retina is recovering?

This can be due to traction bands on the retina, no way to generalize if will get better, worse or stay the same.

Thanks doctor, we are visiting our Surgeon regularly for retina check-up.

Flashes Symptom
Quick Arc shaped light movement 3-4 times when get-up in the morning or after sitting for sometime at one place.
Same Arc shaped light movement 3-4 times when we put eye drops after 3 hrs

We are observing around 25-30 such flashes in a day.

Thanks a lot.

It can be normal but we cannot tell about your husband's case and you need to ask the surgeon.
