This is the sort of thing that can't be answered without a detailed, in person (not a photograph) of the problem. If at all possible I would suggest a second opinion from another ophthalmologist, possibly a cornea surgeon.

That's right. I swear that almost all who need health care here can get it--with the exception of transplants, when there are no organs available.I could be wrong on the facts with transplants, because I have never had the experience. In any regard, this sytem beats socialized or whatever medicine.
This is the type of double-talk dely and denial that has been reported by people posting hear from many countries where the government runs the medical care system and has a monopoly on health care (think UK-England-Canada).
American, think about this when you vote in the fall general election. Any candidate that seems in a hurry to junk the US health care system for failed models in other countries doe not deserve your vote.

Thanks again. Will do as you suggested and will come back to you on the results.
I do appreciate your prompt reply but I would like to know if my husband really needs the grafting. After so many check ups, the final diagnosis which was November 2007 was Continue Systane 3x a day and was scheduled for scleral patch grafting. He was told to buy things needed for the surgery and to come back by December 2007. When he went back on given schedule, this was the diagnosis: Mild excavation but not bulging. Not corvex. No need to touch and was just told to apply the following on his eyes,. Systane - 1 drop 3 times a day; Tobradex ointment 2 times a day for a month, After a month he went back for a check up and was told to decrease the use of Tobradex ointment and was told to use it once a day but still did not recommend the continuance of the grafting.
I really would appreciate it if you could say something about it. Thanks in advance.
Your husband obviously needs it. Like the doctor says, they are giving you doubletalk and denial. You make me feel that I did not realize how much others suffer, with many kinds of eye problems.
I hope that your husband can get medical care soon.
