Unable to focus

Hi,

I always wore glasses since I can remember and before I had lasik eye surgery, my myopia  was of -7.00.
I also have a lazy left eye.

My question is this.
I have had the surgery done almost a year and a half ago or maybe 2.
I noticed that now I can't seem to focus with both of my eyes.

I have regular yearly checkups and they always told me my eyes we're fine.
I also saw my optometrist and he also said my vision was fine.

The thing is, I can see clearly very well with one eye either left or right.
But when using both of my eyes. I can't focus at all. It's like my brain or my eyes don't want to focus together anymore.

Here is an example.
When doing my check up at the optometrist, he asked me to read lines off the chart.
With each eye I was able to no problem.
With both I couldn't even read one line.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this?

Hi,

I wanted to put an update on my issue.
I went to see an ophthalmologist and they did some tests with me as I explained what my problem was.

They could not find what the cause was and thought that it was because my left and right eye did not have the same power since my eyes had regressed a bit and told me to go back to lazik and have my eyes checked and maybe redo my op to get my eyes with the same power.

I went back and went through an analysist and they have told me that my eyes we're fine and that the cause of my eyes unable to focus was because of my lazy eye and related to muscle and I am going back to talk to the dr who operated on me to see if he can refer me to a specialist.

I am still having this issue, I can read with both of my eyes only if I get really close to what I am reading but if I am far away the only way I can read anything is if I close one eye.
