Varilux s series Nanoptix

Does anyone have any review on the varilux s series , i called them and they gave me a figure of $600 - $800 for their glasses. it's supposed to be top of the line progressive that gives 100% peripheral. I'm new to progressives and have been unable to adjust, the progressives i have take away peripheral completely and just give me a very small intermediate area, computer use is almost impossible and gives headaches with them.  i was told my prescription is preety high that is why peripheral distortion is so much. I would also not mind advice on the lens length i'm thinking 27mm, i don't want to have to bump my head up and down. Any advice on progressive contact lenses would be much appreciated also

I am  very satisfied with my right eye, i see clear crisp vision for far and average intermediate.  So i thought my left eye would see clear crisp image for near and average intermediate, i have only crisp clear image for near and zero intermediate. my left eye went from 20/70 to 20/100 within months, what could have caused this

i just thought i should mention i have the acryl soflens toric, i'm wondering if it moved off axis, but if it did move so far off axis then i shouldn't get such clear crisp near vision.

:(  it seems with my prescription no glasses would work for me. The glasses are really good, but it's too pricy though, but distortions are significantly reduced.
