Visual snow?

I'm sixteen and I keep getting new eye symptoms. The foremost is afterimages or ghost images, I'm not sure what they're called but they appear after basically everything I look at. Everything seems twice as bright and flashes drive my eyes crazy. I get huge dark spots in my eyes in the morning and when I stare directly at a small dot or something it fades away, just leaving the color of the wall surrounding it. I also get little dark spots throughout the day that just randomly appear all over my eyes. There are white expanding circles and green/blue wild shapes that just repeatedly appear all over my eyes when they are closed. When I'm looking at anything bright and my heart beats, I see veiny/nervy things in my peripheral vision. And of course, I get visual snow and static, especially in the dark.

Eye doc said it was and anxiety medicine I was taking but I've been off that for over a month and it's only getting worse. My family doc told me to take a new anxiety medicine and see if it disappears. It's been the three weeks she's said it will kick in and my eyes are still only getting worse. I'm pretty sure it's neurological but my family doesn't want to take me to a neurologist, they think it's all anxiety. Could it really be a neurological thing? Please help me.

Dear deliciouscake,

You are at an age that you are noticing every little thing about your body. Your anxiety may be making it worse. As far as I can tell, all the symptoms you are having are normal
phenomenon but you are noticing intensely because you are worried that they mean something bad. They don't.
