Wearing contacts for a few hrs with EKC---2nd opinion

I am recovering from EKC (about 4 months since diagnosis now).  I have been going to the doctor regularly to make sure everything is healing properly.  I recently asked my opthalmologist if wearing my contact lenses for graduation for a few hours is OK.  He said yes.  I would like a second opinion of this.  I just want to make sure I am not risking any futher damage!  Thanks.

I am not on any medication (i.e. eye drops) and as far as I know, I do not have corneal inflammation.  I believe the only symptom I have at this point is the presence of infiltrates.  My graduation ceremony will last 2 hours and I would be in contacts for approximately 3 hours.  That is conservative, right?

Dear Juliekins,

I would recommend that you be conservative in wearing contact lenses if you have any concerns.  I would ask further questions such as whether you are on any medications [eyedrops] and have any evidence of corneal inflammation?
