What might be problems after cataract surgery on high myope with stable uveitis?

I am planning on having a toric lens for intermediate distance in my right eye (-11.25). I have both a cataract and astigmatism in both eyes although the left eye cataract is not so advanced. I also have posterior uveitis (multifocal choroiditis) in both eyes which has been stable for a long time, and possibly AZOOR In both eyes. I know of possible retinal detachment occurring with surgery, but am most concerned with ourcome of vision. The unoperated on left eye has no central vision due to laser surgeries years ago to control SRNV. It has good peripheral vision though and the correction on glasses lens is -8.75. I am feeling that i will be really off balance with vision after cataract on right eye is removed and i get lens giving me good central vision in fight eye. Do i remove the right lens from glasses ans wear glasses with only left lens in? How would i see close up as i now read and do detail art work having it 3 to 4 inces away from eyes with glasses removed. If i get a new distance lens fo post op right eye it will be a lot thinner than the lens for unoperated on eye which will make my eyes appear weird, that is on much larger than the one with the thick lens. I guess my question is if anyone has had similar issues and if this sort of unbalanced eyesight is too uncomfortable or causes headaches or other problems? Also does the disease in eye, though stable, present other problems?

I didnt realize plano lens would correct my peripheral vision. I thought plano was like plain clear glass with no correction and therefore it would give me the same vision in LE that i have now when i take my glasses off, which is very unfocussed myopic peripheral vision in LE, and that would be hard to adjust to after surgery. So ,as long as plano will preserve peripheral as it is now with my glasses on i will be very happy. Thank you.

Your LE will still be highly myopic post RE surgery.  If your eyes don’t work well together you can have lens removed LE and Iol put in to balance refractive error.

Thank you for your response, Dr Hagen. I am not sure what the link you gave was to show. I read your article on options and the one on dysphotopsia that the link referred to ,if that was it. You replied that after surgery and when the right eye has adjusted to the new toric lens, i will have a plano lens in glasses for LE and the RE corrected with progressive lens. The problem i see has to do with vision that will be unbalanced. My LE has no central vision, but the peripheral vision with glasses (-8.75) is very good and i rely a lot on it to get around as some peripheral vision in my right eye  is lost.  So i feel that a LE plano lens in glasses will leave me with "cockeyed"  vision. Is this something people get used to? Or do i keep the thick lens in LE and progressive lens in RE and if so will my eyes appear different sizes to others?

You may have read but you are not understanding.  Glasses RX is for CENTRAL vision not peripheral vision.   The plano on the LE should not affect your peripheral vision if anything it would make it better because your high minus lens minifies and distorts some.   If you wear a high minus lens on the LE your glasses will look lopsided and your eye will appear much smaller than the eye having surgery.

Yes you will need to remove the thick myopia RX from the unoperated eye without central vision  LE.   If you set your RE to have intermediate vision without glasses you will need glasses to read and for distance. you will wear progressive no line glasses with the LE being plano (0.00)    Also with your history of uveitis you may need to start steroids much sooner than normal eyes. You should ask your retina surgeon about your plans and also when to start steroids and how to taper them. This is not normal surgery and your eye is not normal.
