When to be concerned about keratoconus?

Hi, I am 27 and have just gotten a new pair of glasses with an increase of 0.5d (L) and 0.25d (R) for astigmatism. Currently, the astig stands at -1.25d and 0.75d.

Separately, my myopia stands at -5.50d (L) and 4.25d (R), with an increase of 0.25d for left eye.

Just wondering if I should be concerned with KC and for KC cases, what's typically the diopters for astig in early stages? Thanks!

That is not much astigmatism at all. Have you been diagnosed with keratoconus by corneal topography? If not I would not worry about it unless it runs in your family.

Thanks for the reply Doctor! I have not been diagnosed with it but was contemplating whether to see a doctor to check it out. It doesn't run in my family but I was just concerned as my eyesight has been worsening each year.
You are highly myopic and that is the nature of high myopia.  It is unlikely you have K conus.
Sorry doctor, the nature refers to..?
To get worse over time. The amount of your increases were small.
Thanks Doc. Would you be able to share what's typically the change in astig for k conus cases? Like how bad does the change has to be for k conus to be suspected?
You can read about K-conus on the internet. I don't think you have K conus and to worry over it is disabling. I won't discuss further, too many things to do.
