White patches on a 5 year old girl's eye lids

Hi, My 5 year old daughter has some white patches all around her eyes. I put some garlic on her white spots and don't know if it will work to get rid of them. They grow almost every day . I don't know what is causing it to happen. So, please help me on getting rid of them. Is it an allergy? She did eat alot of cheese at night the other day, it is the cheese thats making her skin white? Is eating cooked garlic good for her skin? Will it make it better? Please reply as soon as possible. Its getting too worse. It's spreading around her whole face. I'm so worried because I'm her mom and she is only five years old girl. Thank You! Also it hurts her if I put garlic on the patches.

Dear Amethyst_Sapphire,

I would recommend that you stop putting the garlic on your daughter’s white patches.  Seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the cause of these patches.  Depigmentation of the skin around the eyelids may be associated with certain autoimmune diseases and she should be evaluated.
