Why do I have an increase of eye floaters?

I suddenly started having headaches and a sudden increase of eye floaters. I also have slight pain ontop of my eyes. Does anyone know why this is happening?

A sudden increase of floaters means an exam by an eye MD ophthalmologist is need with dilated pupils. If you have flashes of light or loss of peripheral vision it is an emergency.  Headaches are a second problem that you should discuss with your personal physician.
