Two days ago I felt unconscious

Two days ago I was taking my bath and the bathroom got a bit steamy and I felt like the oxygen has dropped and was finding it quite difficult to breath. As I was finishing up I felt very weak and couldn't move my arms at the same speed and my vision started to fade and I could see small squares wherever I looked and my right eye was going on and off. I have glaucoma and from my last check-up which was the 5 days before this happened my pressure was within range. I felt dizzy, lightheaded and had to sit in the shower for two minutes to get my breath again and then I forced my self out and sat on my bed and my vision was getting worse I could't see anything so I closed my eyes and laid on my bed for 5 minutes and then my vision started to come back. I was alone and thank God I was able to get back up. I am really worried what happened and scared because this has never happened to me before. Any help??

You need to call your personal physician and relay this episode right now. Also if you have glaucoma and you are on a beta blocker eye drop like Timolol this can be a side effect . Beta Blocker eye drops cause slow pulse, low blood pressure, and passing out on standing up in some people.  If you are on beta blocker you likely need to go off and use another medication.

Are you on a beta blocker eye drop for glaucoma (there are many brand and generic names) or do you take beta blocker pills?  Let us know how this turns out for useful information for the many posters/visitors to this website. Thanks

Can a combo eye drop like Dorzolamide+Timolol cause that effect as well?
