Will Degenerative myopia lead to blindness?

I’m -7 in both eyes. I’ve been diagnosed with Degenerative myopia.

There is no way to predict what your outcome will be. Most -7 patients that live a normal lifespan have good vision most or all of their life.  And even in progressive pathological high myopia the eye rarely becomes 'blind' but the central vision in one or both eyes may be subnormal and worse case 'legally blind" but not functionally blind.

Thank you Dr Hagan.
Best of luck: Remember live a healthy lifestyle, good diet, non-contact exercise in moderation, no nicotine or THC,  no alcohol or moderation (no more than 2 drinks  nor more than 4-5 days/week),  eye protection, yearly exam by general ophthalmologist and also a retina Eye MD ophthalmologist ideally 6 months apart.
Great advice Dr Hagen! My best wishes to you.
