Would you recommend my lens be replaced?

I had a cataract removed on my right dominate eye 1 month ago and now have no need for reading glasses, but my distance vision is blurry beyond 20 feet. In my right eye everything is hazy. The eye doctor says she gave me a distance implant monofocal lens that would help me with some intermediate sight and distance. I depend on my left eye now for distance. The doctor says I could pass the eye test for driving. She told me to get a second opinion. Could the new lens be faulty?

No there is nothing wrong with your IOL. Monofocal IOLs ONLY focus one place. If at distance (20 feet or more) it will not be clear for reading. If clear for reading will not be clear for distance.   If the difference between the two eyes is not too great and the cataract in your LE not too big you need glasses to balance the difference between the two. They will need to be "no line" bifocal type and likely will take some getting used to.  Right now you are using "monovision" one eye for distance and the other for reading.

My right eye was supposed to be for distance, since it is my dominant eye. i am now getting close vision in my right eye which was supposed to be for distance. It's looks like the right eye will have to be redone, so have my dominant distance vision is where it should be.
Get a second opinion as IOL exchange is a major operation.
