I don't know if you saw an optometrist or an ophthalmologist the first time. If an optometrist (OD), you need to see an ophthalmologist (EyeMD). If you did see an ophthalmologist, go back and be sure to ask for a gonioscopy, which will evaluate the depth of the front chamber of the eye. Narrow or shallow anterior chamber angles can predispose the eye to narrow angle glaucoma, which can present with pain. I am not worried about the twitching of the lids, which is common and usually short-lived. Do not rub your eyes. If the exam determines that the eyes are dry, there are many remedies which you can discuss with the ophthalmologist: artificial tears (Optive, Systane, Blink), multivitamins and fish oil (Omega 3) supplements, Restasis, and others.
