YAG laser capsulotomy

I had YAG laser capsulotomy performed on my left eye. During the procedure my vision in my right eye became distorted  by intense red light, and pain occurred in my right eye. After the procedure my right eye seemed ok. Nine hours later a hemorrhage occurred in my right eye and was repaired the following day. My question that so far has  gone unanswered is what caused the red light and pain I experienced during the YAG treatment?

It certainly does. I have absolutely no explanation for that.

The yag beam was focused on my left eye, but the distortion and pain was in my right eye while the left eye was being treated. My right eye was not being treated at all.
Does that make a difference in your answer?
Thanks very much

The red light is the aiming beam of the yag.  If there was pain then some of the applicatins may have been near the iris that has pain fibers. the posterior capsule does not have pain fibers. You need to discuss with your surgeon.
