not neccesserly.it just wont get worse .i have kc and mine progressed rapidly within a year.if its an irruglar astigmatisim this can happen, but check with a lasik surgen there are ways to inflate your cornea and correct some of problem,,,just a suggestion
You don't provide your age. However I will assume that you are older than 18 years. If so, your astigmatism is increasing a little faster than usual for an adult. Possibilities include 1) your previous refractions were inaccurate, there is no real change, the newer prescriptions are more correct, 2) your astigmatism is increasing but you don't have an eye disease causing it to do so, 3) you may have a condition such as keratoconus, which is a progressive sagging of the cornea that often starts off as rapidly increasing astigmatism. You should be examined by an eye surgeon who can obtain a test called a corneal topography.
thank you for your answer freddiem i will start the necessary tests and see if i can operate my eyes for a lasik surgery to eliminate astigmatism at least for the myopia it is stable for about 4 years now and it is not a real handicaping problem for me any way there should be a way to improve my vision :)
thank you for your answer Doctor, im 28 years old and my doctor told me if it was keratoconus it would change astigmatism faster then that at least each 6 months, and told me that my astigmatism gonna get better after 50 is that true Doctor?
