Yag after Multifocal Cataract Surgery

My opthomologist has eliminated 2 of the 3 "causes" of cloudy vision after my surgery.  He is suggesting yag (3 months post surgery).  Is there any way to be sure that yag is the answer to the problem?

Thank you for a quick response...  the procedure is scheduled for Tuesday 12/23.  Is my opthomologist able to see if my posteriour capsule is cloudy?  I had no symptoms before the IOL implant (Restor multifocal).  Again, thanks and I wish you a wonderful holiday.

Is the posterior capsule behind the implant cloudy? If not, the YAG probably won't help. It's easy to do it however. The multifocals as the name suggests produce more than one focal point in the eye at the same time. Your brain has to learn to differentiate between them which can take some time or it may never happen. Also, if you have more than 0.5 diopters of astigmatism, the vision will be blurred until the astigmatism is corrected.
